The Description of the Conference:

The primary scientific aim of the conference is to make use of both Swarm and MSS-1 data for understanding the Earth's system from its liquid core to its ionosphere and magnetosphere.

 

The Language of the Conference: English.


Dress Code of Conference and the Coneference Dinner: Casual wear.

How to Get to Macao




By   Air

Airplane

The Macao International Airport offers direct or connecting flights to several destinations in the region, and other parts of the world.

Upon arrival in Macao International Airport, you can take a taxi to hotel.

By   Land

Shuttle Bus (Ticketing counter Is inside the HKIA, BEFORE immigration, in this way, you will not need to enter HK)

If your flight arrives at the Hong Kong Airport (HKIA) between 06:00-20:00, please follow below step to go to Macao:

1.      Proceed directly to the ticket counter after getting off from your flight (You will be exempt from immigration procedures at this stage, and you do not need to collect your luggage immediately).

2.      Purchase a bus ticket at the E2 counter in terminal 1 and present all required documents, including your passport, boarding pass, and luggage tag. (the bus depart hourly and it is recommended to buy ticket directly at the counter).

3.      Counter staff in HKIA will guide you to take the Automated People Mover (APM) to SkyPier and claim the luggage and guide you to get on the HZMB shuttle bus to Macao;

4.      Upon arrival in Macao, you can take a taxi to hotel.

Shuttle Bus (Ticketing counter is at the HZMB Hong Kong Port, outside the HKIA, need to enter HK)

If your flight will arrive at the Hong Kong Airport (HKIA) within 20:00-06:00

1.      Once you have completed the procedures of HK immigration and claim your baggage at HKIA;

2.      Take a Taxi from HKIA to HZMB Hong Kong Port;

3.      After arriving at HZMB Hong Kong Port, you can purchase bus ticket at the HZMB Hong Kong Port and take the HZMB shuttle bus to Macau; (They provide 24-hours-services connecting Hong Kong and Macao ports with an average interval of 5 minutes during peak periods, 10-15 minutes during non-peak periods and 15-30 minutes during overnight periods);

4.      Upon arrival in Macao, you can take a taxi to the hotel.

The Payment method

Ÿ   The payment method at E2 counter in terminal 1: Cash (Hong Kong dollar(HKD), Visa, Mastercard, WeChat Pay, Alipay.

Ÿ   The payment method at HZMB Hong Kong Port Bus Counter: Cash (Hong Kong dollar(HKD)), Visa, Mastercard, WeChat Pay, Alipay.

Ÿ   The payment method at HZMB Macao Port Bus Counter: Cash (Macau dollar(MOP)), Visa, Mastercard, WeChat Pay, Alipay.

Ÿ   The payment method provided by the taxi both in Hong Kong and Macao: Cash only: HK taxi will only accept HKD. Macao taxi will accept Both HKD and MOP.


How to Get to HKIA




By   Land

Shuttle Bus (from HZMB Macao Port directly to HKIA, no need to enter HK, limited   Airline and require minimum connection times between your flight and the bus)

You might choose to take a Shuttle Bus directly from HZMB Macao Port directly to HKIA, however, only the listed airlines will allow to take this service and also require minimum connection times between your flight and the bus, you can check the listed airline and the minimum connection times here.

1.        Take a Taxi from Hotel/MUST to HZMB Macao Port.

2.       Purchase a HK airport transfer bus ticket (Price: 280HKD/MOP) at the HZMB Macao  Port (the ticket counter is in the right-hand side).

3.       Proceed directly to HK International Airport Check-in Service Counter and drop off  your baggage at the counter.

4.        Proceed through Macao immigration.

5.        After completing immigration procedures, please proceed to the waiting room for HK International Airport (following the sign).

6.        Staff in the waiting room will guide you to the bus and take you to SkyPier at HKIA.

7.        Once you arrive at SkyPier, you can check in there   (depending on the airline), if not, you can proceed to the airport security check.

8.        After the security check, you can proceed to the tax refund counter to claim a tax refund for the bus ticket.

9.        After completing your tax refund, you can follow the sign to take the Automated People Mover (APM) to Terminal 1 of HKIA.

Shuttle Bus (need to enter HK)

If your airline is not allowed to take the direct bus to HKIA and does not have enough minimum connection times between your flight and the bus, you can always choose to take the shuttle bus from HZMB Macao Port to HK via HZM bus and take the taxi to HKIA.

1.        Take a Taxi from Hotel/MUST to HZMB Macao Port.

2.       Purchase a HZM bus ticket (Price: 65-70MOP) at the HZMB Macao Port (the ticket counter is on the left-hand side).

3.        Once you have purchased bus ticket, you can proceed through Macao immigration with your buggage.

4.        Follow the sign to get on the HZM bus (45 mins).

5.        Once you arrived at HZMB Hong Kong Port, you need to proceed through HK immigration with your buggage.

6.        After completing HK immigration procedures, you can take a taxi to HKIA.

Ÿ   Please note that upon entering Macao, immigration authorities will issue you a “Slip of Authorization to Stay” (see sample photo here). This document must be retained throughout your stay in Macao and presented during hotel check-in procedures.

Travel Tips:

Ÿ   Ensure you exchange some cash at the airport before taking a taxi, as many local taxis in Macao and Hong Kong may not accept credit cards.

Ÿ   Current Exchange Rate of HKD and MOP: 1 HKD = 1.03 MOP (almost 1:1)

Ÿ   While HKD is widely accepted in Macao, MOP is not usable in Hong Kong.

Ÿ   Macau's weather in May typically ranges from 24-26°C in the morning to 26-30℃ during the day, with high humidity levels. Lightweight, breathable clothing is advisable for comfort.
